At First Baptist Yarmouth we believe strongly in the value of small groups. Corporate worship on Sundays is important, but it is in small groups where true Christ-centered community is built, relationships are strengthened, and we get to really dig into the Word of God. Small groups are groups of no more than twelve people who are committed to meeting together weekly. They are usually based around a book of the bible or a bible study guide and in addition to bible study have time for fellowship and corporate prayer. Small groups meet throughout the week either in a member's home or our church building.
Some groups are for men or women or based on a common interest and others are open to all. Some groups are "closed" because they are at a maximum size, and others accept new members only at the beginning of a new study so continuity can be maintained. Below is a list of the groups that are currently accepting new members.
